The Lifewise Centre is South Yorkshire’s only interactive safety centre and is home to the Joint Community Safety Department of South Yorkshire Police and South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.

Today 1st October, we are pleased to welcome schools back to the newly painted and updated Lifewise Centre, where the children will take part in a series of scenarios aimed at keeping them safe.

Due to the ongoing situation with COVID - 19 and to protect our communities the engagement activity at the Centre will be limited for the foreseeable future.

Please keep checking our social media pages and website for more details.

In the mean time criminals are taking advantage of the current situation. Fraud and scams have significantly increased across the UK.

Please check in regularly with family members and friends.

Take care and more importantly keep safe.

Lifewise, is a scenario-based learning facility, which benefits from a film-set environment, where educational inputs are delivered in a realistic setting.

The Centre runs a free Crucial Crew programme for all Year 6 school pupils in South Yorkshire. This provision extends to Special Educational Needs schools, Pupil Referral Units and Learning Centres. A number of partner organisations assist in delivering this programme which include; First Bus, Magistrates in the Community, St John Ambulance, South Yorkshire Safer Roads Partnership and South Yorkshire Police and South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.

We don’t just work with schools, we also hold and arrange bespoke events for community groups or organisations that work with vulnerable members of society.

If you would like to find out more or to see if a visit would be of benefit to your group please get in touch using the contact page.
