Run by the local IAM RoadSmart groups, the Advanced Rider Course aims to improve your skills and safety to make you a more confident biker in all conditions.

The Advanced Rider Course is aimed at riders on motorbikes or scooters that are able to reach the national speed limit on a larger capacity machine, and who are looking to improve their skills over a longer period of time.  South Yorkshire has two main IAM RoadSmart groups, the Rotherham Advanced Motorcyclists (RAM) and Sheffield & District Advanced Motorcyclists (SAM), please click on the links for further information about both groups and how to get involved.

For full information on the Advanced Rider training programme please click onto the IAM RoadSmart main webpage.

As well as offering Advanced Riding courses both groups have a very active social side with regular ride-outs, events, day-trips, to longer ventures to Scotland, Wales, Ireland and Europe.

As a special offer both groups are currently providing FREE Taster Sessions, please contact the groups individually for further information.
